Tom Gillespie gets Pepe’d at the 2024 Proof-Of-Work Summit
Tom Gillespie at the PoW Summit 2024
We recently sent Tom Gillespie to the PoW Summit 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany. You know how we do it at Bitjoin Studios—dive deep into the crypto rabbit hole and come back with stories, and this one’s packed with b-roll, Satoshis, and even some surprise artwork.
Tom and Tommy Take on Frankfurt
Tom made the trip with his trusty cameraman, Tommy Hans, who’s still cutting his teeth in the game but is already showing serious potential. Tom was doing double duty this time—getting those hard-hitting interviews with the likes of Charlie Lee (yes, the man behind Litecoin), Patrick Lodder (keeping Dogecoin alive and kicking), and Sergio Demian Lerner (Mr. Rootstock Labs, if you don’t know). But on top of that, Tom was teaching Tommy how to get the best shots, B-roll that’ll make our next docu-series sizzle.
Bitcoin for Beer, Anyone?
It wasn’t all work and no play. Tom managed to figure out how to use a beer machine that only accepts Bitcoin. Yup, you read that right—Satoshis for suds! After a long day of shooting, Tom poured himself and Tommy a well-deserved drink, because what better way to cap off a crypto event?
Pepe and Art Collide
Oh, and speaking of capping things off, Tom got the meme treatment. The awesome Annie, a digital artist at the event, turned a photo of Tom into some fresh Pepe artwork.
Mildly Engaged, Yet Fully Capturing the Scene
Here’s the kicker: while the summit had its highlights, Tom wasn’t exactly glued to every session. He was often spotted on his phone, casually scrolling through Twitter between interviews.
All in all, Tom and Tommy brought back some great content, and you’ll see the proof in the upcoming mini-series. For now, keep your eyes on our socials, and as always, stay curious!
