Why We’re Republishing Hexicans & The Time Value of Money, and how you can get involved.

A bit of news: Our Mini Series Hexicans & The Time Value of Money is going back up on YouTube.

If you caught the series the first time round, thanks for being early. If you missed it, here’s the short version: it’s a documentary about belief, conviction, and what happens when people bet everything on a story they truly think is going to change their lives. HEX is at the centre of it, but the series was never just about a token. It’s about the people, the community, and the psychology of holding on when the world tells you you’re wrong.

Why we’re doing this

Straight up: we’re republishing on YouTube because we want to try to actually monetize this series properly, and because we want more eyes on it. Indikin is where the series lives and where the full story gets told, but YouTube is where people find things they didn’t know they were looking for. We’d be mad not to use it.

So today, all four episodes are going live on YouTube, in parallel with Indikin. We want to genuinely test whether we can monetize the series there too, not just use it as a teaser funnel.

The paywall problem, and why we’re doing it anyway

I’ll be upfront: keeping a paid, ad-free option on Indikin when the whole series is also sitting free on YouTube isn’t a decision we’ve made lightly.

Documentary audiences, and crypto audiences especially, are used to free content. That’s the water we all swim in. Asking people to pay for something they could, in theory, watch for free with ads is always going to be a harder sell than “just watch it.” we know that. we’ve thought about it a lot.

But here’s the honest trade-off: making documentaries costs real money and real time, and if the only model is “give it all away for free forever,” there is no next documentary. Not from us, not from the other independent filmmakers on Indikin who are in exactly the same boat. So we’re giving people a genuine choice, not a trick: watch free on YouTube with ads, no hard feelings, or watch ad-free on Indikin, knowing that cost goes directly into funding what Bitjoin and Indikin make next.

This is where you the audience comes in

Here’s the thing about this particular series: it’s not really our story, and it’s not really Indikin’s story either. It’s the Hexican community’s story. You may have lived it. You know the arguments, the conviction, the doubters, the true believers, better than any outside camera crew ever could.

So we’re asking directly: if this series meant something to you, or if you think it’s worth other people seeing, help us get it in front of them. Share the YouTube episode. Point people to indikin.online when they ask “wait, what happens next.” Every share, every watch, every person who decides to back the full series does two things at once: it gets the story further, and it funds the next documentary we make.

We built this series to be honest about belief, in all its forms, the kind that builds communities and the kind that costs people everything. If that’s a story you think deserves a wider audience, now’s the moment to help push it there.

Where to watch

Thanks for watching the first time round, and thanks in advance to everyone who helps get this one further than we could on our own.
